Dr. Briggs is a female Family physician, and she has been a physician for over twenty years. She has a special interest in child health, breast feeding medicine and low risk obstetrics.

She completed her residency training at the prestigious university of Calgary. She also has clinical experience from Saudi Arabia and Nigeria.

She holds a certification in paediatrics from the Saudi Council for Health Specialties

She enjoys teaching and has done a lot of volunteer and charity work with children and infants.

She has research experience and recently conducted a study to determine the impact of prenatal breastfeeding counselling by family physicians on breastfeeding practices among women in Calgary (2016). Her research work has been presented at conferences, including the Family Medicine Forum of Canada

 She is a member of the Highland Primary Care Network, Airdrie, Alberta.
